The wood is not protected against stains. The table must be protected before first use. We provide Natural Woodsealer ® (free of charge). This water-based impregnating oil provides protection, but hardly changes the original unfinished appearance.
The wood used is exclusively recycled wood from doors and construction beams of old and antique buildings. Deviations in structure and color are therefore possible.
This tabletop has a so-called envelope construction. A common effect of this design is a small opening between the central plate and the side beams. The opening may increase if the humidity in the environment is too low.
